According to reports, the New England Patriots tried to trade for AJ Brown: Is the top receiver being shopped by the Philadelphia Eagles?

According to a recent rumor, the New England Patriots expressed interest in acquiring great receiver AJ Brown, and they received a clear reaction.

With an abundance of cash and high expectations for signing some of the top free agents on the market, the Patriots went into the offseason. The organization is said to have switched its focus to the draft and, it seems, the trade market because the open market is not providing as much as it used to. This week, longtime NFL analyst Albert Breer verified reports that the New England Patriots had contacted the Eagles over the three-time Pro Bowler’s availability during an interview on NBC Sports Boston’s “Early Edition.”

But it appears that other teams were also interested in the player who caught over 1,400 yards in 2023, as the Pats were not the only ones to make an inquiry. However, the organization received the same unequivocal response that every other teams that called regarding Brown received.

Breer stated, “Philadelphia has received inquiries about AJ Brown and has shut them all down and informed other teams he is not available.”

The article serves as an illustration of what occurs when teams inquire about players they probably know aren’t available during the offseason and right up until the trade deadline. However, you never know until you inquire, and recording your early interest may one day result in transactions. On the four-year, $100 million contract that he inked prior to the 2023 season, the standout receiver has three years remaining.
