Teun Koopmeiners, an Atlanta midfielder, has stated that he wants to quit the team due of connections to Tottenham.
In preparation for the impending transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur has been intensively scouting possible additions.
Koopmeiners of Atalanta is one of the players with whom Spurs have been connected.
An earlier story from the Italian publication TuttoSport said that Spurs were in the early stages of negotiations to sign the Dutchman and bring him to North London for the summer.

However, they will have fierce competition to sign him, as rumors have it that Liverpool and Juventus are also considering the youngster. The 26-year-old has a deal with the Italian team that runs through June 2027. However, he has stated that he wants to move on from Bergamo to his next destination in pursuit of a new challenge.
Given his €40 million market value, Koopmeiners is looking into his possibilities for his next professional move and hopes that Atalanta will receive a sizable transfer fee from his departure.
He commented in an interview with De Telegraaf: “I want to leave the club in the summer, and I have told Atalanta as much.
“Hopefully, this year will offer some possibilities to think about. I hope they receive a sizable payment because I’ve had an incredible experience at Atalanta. But Atalanta would prefer to keep the player and are confident in their chances, especially if they make it into the Champions League the following year.
Koopmeiners’s statistics clearly indicate that he is a good player, as evidenced by the fact that top suitors are fighting for his signing.
With 34 games in all competitions, he has an outstanding 12 goals and 4 assists from a midfield position.
