The Utah Jazz landed two star players to strengthen there squad

The Utah Jazz are adding a few more players to round out their summer league roster. According to Tony Jones, Max Abmas was added by the Jazz to their summer league roster.

Abmas had been a productive scoring guard in college, as Jones mentioned. He played for the Texas Longhorns past season, averaging 16.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 42.5% from the floor.

Babacar Sane was also signed by the Jazz to a contract as Exhibit 10.

The G-League lists Sane’s height as 6’7″ and weight as 230 pounds. In 2022–2023 he shot 42% from the field, but in 2023–24 he shot 45%. It’s interesting to note that his three-point percentage, which he shot at 32%, was the exact opposite. It will be interesting to watch if Sane’s remarkable athleticism can translate to the Jazz when he plays there.

Summer league is quickly approaching, and the Jazz will have an elite team. It will be interesting to see how many more players join the team, especially with so many young guys already participating.

Armando Bacot, a UNC basketball alum, consents to exhibit 10 contracts.

Armando Bacot had a successful basketball career at UNC, but the 2024 NBA Draft did not include his name. The 24-year-old big man is still given the chance to demonstrate his abilities in the aim of securing a two-way deal for the upcoming campaign.

Tony Jones of The Athletic said shortly after the NBA Draft ended on Thursday that the Utah Jazz are signing Bacot to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Shortly after the NBA Draft concluded on Thursday, Tony Jones of The Athletic announced that the Utah Jazz will be signing Bacot to an Exhibit 10 contract.

The 6-foot-11, 240-pound Bacot is expected to be a member of the Jazz squad when they play in Salt Lake City Summer League on July 8–10, and when they go to Las Vegas for the NBA 2K25 Summer League on July 12–22.

Among all-time Tar Heels, he ranks first in rebounds and second in points. He’ll probably be there with Utah’s No. 32 overall draft pick, 7-foot Kyle Filipowski of rival Duke. In addition, Armando Bacot might get to see Jazz center Walker Kessler again if he is granted a longer stay in Utah. Kessler was Bacot’s backup with the 2020–21 Tar Heels before moving to Auburn.

In this year’s NBA Draft, just one UNC basketball player was selected: Harrison Ingram, a 21-year-old forward selected by the San Antonio Spurs at pick No. 48 overall.

Despite attracting some interest from NBA teams through pre-draft workouts, Cormac Ryan, 25, has not yet received word of an Exhibit 10 deal.
