Unbelievable crash: Kentucky star has died in a motor accident.
The Kentucky Wildcats are beginning to concentrate on their class of 2025 recruiting targets, and they are currently aiming for a visit from 5-star shooting guard Darryn Peterson.
Peterson, a West Virginia native and player for Huntington Prep, is 6-foot-5 and 195 pounds. Being the finest shooting guard in the class and ranked third nationally, he is a target for many teams.
Recently, Peterson questioned Joe Tipton of On3 about his plans to visit Kentucky and about his interactions with the staff.
“I recently got re-offered by coach (Mark) Pope. I might go visit there again, too,” Peterson tells Tipton of On3. “The same thing stands, they still want me. He’s watched some stuff, and they want me, and they’re interested, too. I’m tuned into Kentucky this year, I didn’t really watch BYU too much.”
The other contenders are Arkansas, Ohio State, and North Carolina.
Many prospects may want to wait to see how Pope does in his first season in Lexington before determining if it is the perfect spot for them, especially with a new coaching staff and players. Although it may be difficult to entice a top recruit like Peterson, it is evident that he is still genuinely interested in what Mark Pope has to offer.
