Four joueurs de renom des Red Sox à vendre avant la fin.

The trade deadline is drawing near, and in the coming weeks, more definitive reports regarding which teams are buying and which are selling will surface. I’ve written about the teams that are willing to trade almost every player on their roster during the past few weeks. Use the links below to view the pieces you missed.

Athletics targets are traded to the Braves
Angels trade targets to Braves
Rockies trade targets to Braves
White Sox objectives are traded to the Braves
Mets trade targets to Braves
Marlins trade targets to the Braves
We now shift our attention to teams that might still be undecided. Though, outside of a few organizations, the enlarged playoffs have given hope to almost everyone, even though many of these clubs certainly should sell. But, compared to the National League, the American League has a lot more teams above.500, so some clubs that are in the.500 range might be more likely to give up on the season and focus on the following one.

The Boston Red Sox are one of such teams. The Red Sox are now 2.0 games behind the Twins for the last Wild Card berth with a 39-35 record. Over the next six weeks, they will give it their all, but this is not a team that is prepared to contend for a World Series, even though they have a few players, including a couple of old acquaintances, who could catch Alex Anthopoulos’ attention.

O’Neill Tyler

Due to injuries, Tyler O’Neill finished seventh in the NL MVP race in 2021. As a result, he was moved to the Red Sox during the winter, a move that has proven to be quite successful for Boston. With a.888 OPS and 14 home runs in just 49 games, O’Neill is a potent right-handed hitter. The outfield is one position that the Braves really need to improve before the trade deadline. If the Red Sox make O’Neill available, there won’t be a shortage of suitors; however, since he is in the final year of his contract, he shouldn’t require a significant investment in prospect capital.

Pivetta, Nick

If none of their younger arms can establish themselves, the Braves may attempt to upgrade the rotation outside of outfielders before the trade deadline. Alex Anthopoulos won’t be going after a front-line starter, in my opinion. The Braves don’t have the prospect capital to pull off a move that size, but it makes sense to acquire someone like Nick Pivetta, who is also in the last year of his contract. He is a swing-and-miss kind of man who can be used as a relief or a starter depending on the situation.

Kenley Jansen and Chris Martin
As I said before, in a little more than a month, the Red Sox may trade for one or both of their former buddies. Although the Braves don’t currently need additional relievers, having more arms is always a good idea, and you never know when an injury can occur that could require surgery before the trade deadline.

Following a brief one-year stay with the Braves, Kenley Jansen signed a free agent contract with the Red Sox, and he has been a rock solid player ever since. With a 2.70 ERA and 2.12 FIP this season, he’s a valuable asset if the Red Sox decide to acquire him. With a 4.22 ERA in 21 appearances, Chris Martin isn’t having the ideal year, but he did place 12th in the AL Cy Young race a year ago after recording a 1.05 ERA through 55 appearances.
