This offseason, the Arkansas Razorbacks signed their third baseball transfer.

Outfielder Carson Hansen, a transfer from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has committed to Arkansas. The third commitment for Razorback baseball this cycle is Hansen, 6-2, 220.

This past season, Hansen named on the Horizon All-League First Team. With 203 at-bats and 64 hits, he had the second-highest batting average on the squad (.315). In 2025, he will be a junior at Arkansas. At Pewaukee (Wisc.) High School, where he played high school baseball, he won the Wisconsin Division 2 State Player of the Year title (2022).

In a post on X, Hansen said, “I’d like to start by thanking the coaching staff, teammates, and support team at Milwaukee.” “I wouldn’t trade the last two years for anything, and I gained a lot of friends for life. Having said that, I’m thrilled to declare that I will be attending the University of Arkansas to play baseball. Father’s Day is the ideal day to make your announcement. I play every day for my dad, who is the reason I keep putting on my sneakers. I am aware that he is currently watching over me and grinning down. This is only the start!”

After the regular season ended, UW-MILWAUKEE BIO 2024 was named to the Horizon All-League First Team. was also chosen three times as the Horizon League Batter of the Week, making him only the second player in the league’s history to receive the award three times in a row from April 23 to May 7. was one of only three players to play in every one of the team’s 55 games in his sophomore year, and he started all but one of the 2024 games. Has 64 hits, ranking second on the squad, inAs his at bats, 203.The second-best batting average on the squad was 315. had a team-best 1.005 OPS and a team-beating.601 slugging percentage thanks to his 36 extra-base hits. drew 27 walks and had an on-base percentage of.404, ranking second on the squad. Went 7 for 8 when attempting to steal bases. obtained his first season hit on a single against Fresno State in the second game (2/17)… tallied his first RBI of the year in UT Rio Grande Valley’s middle game on February 24. got his first season double and scored a run versus UIC (3/5).

Driven in two runs and recorded his first multi-hit game of the season in the series finale against Western Kentucky (3/10)… hit his first home run of the year on March 15 against Wright State, the team’s Horizon League opener. produced a career-best five-hit performance in Milwaukee’s run-rule victory over Wright State (3/16), including a program-record tying three doubles and three runs scored and driven in.

had a home run and three RBIs in the first series against Northern Kentucky (3/22)… obtained three more hits, one of which was a double, the following day (3/23) against the Norse. concluded the series at Northern Kentucky (3/24) with two more hits and a run scored. recorded a season-high four plate appearances and two hits, including a home run, in the home opener against Purdue Fort Wayne (3/28)… added two more singles and an RBI in the game the next day, March 29, against Purdue Fort Wayne. Against Oakland (4/5) he started the series with a double on a day with two hits.

added three RBIs during the team’s doubleheader in Oakland (4/6) and hit another home run. struck out and scored three runs at home against Valparaiso (4/9)… had a double in the first game then, on April 13, went on to have a three-inning, home run game against Youngstown State in a doubleheader. concluded the series against the Penguins and, on April 14, at Youngstown State, walked twice and scored three runs. collected two more hits and scored two runs versus MSOE (4/17) at American Family Field. started the home series against Wright State (4/19) with two RBIs.

broke the program record once more on April 20th against Wright State, putting in a season-high five runs with another three-double performance. tallied another double and scored two runs in the series finale (4/21) against Wright State. got one RBI, two doubles, and a stolen base against Iowa (4/23)… hit a double and a home run in the first game of the home series against Northern Kentucky (4/26) and drove in four runs.

concluded the series against Northern Kentucky (4/27) with a home run and again another four-RBI game. got two hits and three runs scored in a midweek game against Parkside (4/30)… drove in three additional runs in a game against Northern Illinois (5/1) the following afternoon. Got two hits in each of the three games (5/4-5) that the squad played at Purdue Fort Wayne. obtained a stolen base and a single versus Northwestern (5/8)…

started the last series of the regular season with a double and his 11th home run of the year, having scored four runs in the first game against Youngstown State (5/16)… hit a double and scored a run against the Penguins (5/17) in the afternoon. concluded the regular season against Youngstown State (5/18) with a double, a walk, and two runs scored. started the Horizon League Championship game against Purdue Fort Wayne (5/22) with two hits, one of which he drove in and one of which he scored. walked and scored a run the following day (5/23) in the game against Northern Kentucky. concluded the campaign against Youngstown State (5/24), walking twice.
