Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Sean McVay Has Taken the NFL by Storm - Business Insider

The Los Angeles Rams placed a significant wager over the summer on Tre’Davious White’s ability to regain his Pro Bowl form following two almost consecutive season-ending injuries. White has not yet been able to take part in full-speed drills or sessions during scheduled team activities.

White missed somewhat more than a year of football play due to a grade-3 ACL tear he sustained towards the close of the 2021 season. Before rupturing his Achilles tendon, also a grade-3 injury, he participated in the last five games of 2022 and the first four games of 2023.

“He’s progressing well. He could participate in the walkthrough. “He’s clearly overcome a significant injury, and he’s accomplished a lot of good things on the side,” McVay said. It’s evident that he is fully focused and involved in the meeting environment. We’ll see where he is at in terms of his real training camp procedure.

He does an amazing job of understanding his body, so I don’t think we should limit ourselves to using just one strategy. Everything revolves on “how’s he feeling,” “what does it look like,” and when [Dr.] Neil ElAttrache, MD, checks up on him, what’s going to be best for him—hopefully ready to play in the opening as well as throughout the whole of the season.Sean McVay

There are guys on the Rams who have experienced Achilles injuries. Cam Akers experienced the same tear that White did before to the 2021 season. He was out of the season for all but the final game, and he only made a comeback after five months of recuperation. After the injury, he never recovered to his rookie season level and tore it again in 2023.White was selected to the Pro Bowl and the second team All-Pro in 2020, his final complete season.
