10 Things to Know – Missouri | Arkansas Razorbacks

According to a source on Thursday, Arkansas and Missouri will not play on the Friday after Thanksgiving for just the second time since the annual football series started in 2014.

Rather, the Mississippi State-Ole Miss game, which is usually played on Thanksgiving Day, will now take place on Black Friday and be broadcast on ABC in the mid-afternoon, which is the same time window the Razorbacks have occupied for the majority of the previous thirty years. This announcement was made by the SEC and ESPN.

On Black Friday, Georgia will take on Georgia Tech on ABC.

Every game has been played the day after Thanksgiving since 2020, with the exception of Arkansas vs. Missouri, which was rescheduled to a Saturday because to the pandemic.

The Tigers and Razorbacks are set to play on Saturday, Nov. 30, this season. A subsequent announcement will be made about the TV network and game time.

Since the Razorbacks joined the SEC in 1992, they have participated in 26 Black Friday games. Twenty-five, including sixteen against LSU, were televised on CBS; however, starting this season, ABC will replace CBS as the SEC’s broadcast partner.

On Thursday, two more kickoff times for Arkansas were disclosed. On September 7, the Razorbacks’ second game of the season will begin at 11 a.m. Central at Oklahoma State. Arkansas will play its first football game on ABC since a contest at Texas Tech in 2014. That game will air on ABC.

Arkansas will play Alabama-Birmingham the next week on September 14 at 3:15 p.m. The SEC Network will broadcast the game.

For the remainder of Arkansas’s schedule, game times and broadcast details are still to be confirmed. At the league’s spring meetings on Monday, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey stated that games that begin at 11 a.m. or noon Central time will be revealed somewhere in mid-June.
