Report: my secret to the top Spot Ahead of the NCAA Championship…..

FAYETTEVILLE: Arkansas rises to the top of the national ratings index in the tenth week, ahead of the NCAA Championships, which will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from June 5–8.

The Razorbacks took the top spot after ranking second for five weeks in a row because to their outstanding play in the NCAA West First Rounds. This outdoor season, after six weeks at No. 1, LSU falls to No. 2.

Texas, Oregon, and Florida round out the top five. Texas A&M, Georgia, Texas Tech, USC, and Ole Miss are also among the top 10.

Twelve of Arkansas’s eighteen entries—or twelve of the top 10—will compete in the NCAA Championships. Texas and Texas A&M are next with 15 each, and LSU is first with 22 registrations. Three teams each have 14 entries: Texas Tech, Georgia, and Oregon.

Nickisha Pryce (49.32 400m), Rachel Glenn (53.94 400m hurdles), and the Razorbacks’ 4 x 400m relay team, which included Rosey Effiong, Pryce, Kaylyn Brown, and Amber Anning, broke a collegiate outdoor record of 3:21.92.

In the 400 meters, Arkansas is ranked 1-2-3-5 in the US with three runs under 50 seconds. Leading the pack during the NCAA West is Pryce, with a 49.32, followed by Brown at 49.47, Anning at 49.51, and Effiong with a 50.11 career best.

LSU in the 200m and Nebraska in the javelin will join the Razorbacks as the only teams with four participants in a single event.

In the 400m hurdles, Glenn, the NCAA Indoor Champion, set a new personal best time of 53.94 to overtake USC’s Jasmine Jones, who had previously held the top spot with a record of 53.98. Glenn places third outdoors in the high jump with a 6-3.5 (1.92) score.

With her UA record of 1:59.29, Jallow is ranked second nationally in the 800m and is only one of three competitors to have raced under two minutes this season.

With a time of 42.70 from the NCAA West meet, the Arkansas 4 × 100m relay is ranked sixth. In both the 5,000- and 10,000-meter events, Sydney Thorvaldson is ranked sixth (15:25.07 and 32:36.47).
